Turn a shopping trip into a little adventure
A shopping trip can be more than a stop at a store. Give your character a reason to go out, a small plan, and something to look forward to when they get home.

Start with a plan at home
Imagine your character is getting ready for a meal, choosing a new look, or running an everyday errand. Pick just one idea for the first trip. You can even make up a short list in your head: something to prepare, something to wear, or something to inspire the next part of the story.
Explore the supermarket
Use the supermarket as the main scene of your outing. Look at what is available and think about what fits your character’s plan. A cooking story might start with finding supplies; a pretend family outing might focus on deciding what everyone wants. Let what you see in the store suggest the next part of the adventure.

Add a boutique visit
For a longer story, add a stop at the boutique. Think about how your character wants to look for the rest of the day. You can use the two-color challenge from our outfit guide as a starting point. Browse at your own pace and use the options available to you; the story does not depend on buying a particular item.
Bring the story back home
Finish with a home scene: cooking, arranging furniture, or getting ready for another day. Returning to a familiar place gives the outing a clear ending. Next time, you can repeat the same route with a different character or a different reason to shop.
Make it yours
These are imaginative play prompts, not official missions or reward instructions. Try a rainy-day errand, a pretend celebration, or a character’s first visit to town. Small changes can turn the same locations into a completely different story.
